PSCP/ICI Joint Workshop, Bar Harbor, Maine (2016). This meeting focused on the underlying biology of genetic variation in hPSC and discussed the issues of genetic stability and its regulatory consequences for regenerative medicine.  A meeting report from this event has been published in Stem Cell Reports.

PSCP/ PluriMes Joint Workshop, Cambridge (2016). Invited delegates from both the PSCP Hub and the EU Funded PluriMes Project discussed the shared issues relating to the translation of human Pluripotent Stem Cells into therapies.   The workshop examined the cutting edge of stem cell culture and characterisation using expertise from the “MSC” and hPSC line perspectives and then considered how the current and developing methods can be best communicated and translated to and industry setting.  A meeting report from this event will be published soon.

3rd Annual Consortium Scientific Showcase, Enfield (2016). PSCP held its annual scientific showcase and International Scientific Advisory Board meeting at the Royal Chace Hotel in Enfield, North London on the 21st -23rd November 2016.

MRC Medical Festival, Sheffield.  Organised by the Engagement and Impact Team at the University of Sheffield, PSCP researchers represented UKRMP at this public engagement event.  More than 500 people passed through the venue and the public’s response towards our research was very positive. PSCP Validation Workshop, London.  Organised by the PSCP Hub in collaboration with Jacqueline Barry from the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, this was an opportunity for UKRMP Researchers and PIs to learn more about the term Validation, from its regulatory requirements, to a more practical look at validation of methodologies via case studies.  Click to read more…
