The Stem Cellar is the official blog for the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and the posting on 17th October 2014 highlighted the achievements of the Keele and Nottingham team with respect to the use of stem cells and magnetic nanoparticles to more effective bone repair. Initial results are very promising and have demonstrated a 2.4-fold increase in mineralization and significant increases in matrix density in a collagen hydrogel model.
