Southampton’s excellence in stem cell biology, imaging and computed tomography has secured a £1.1 million award from the MRC’s Regenerative Medicine Platform to develop facilities for 3D imaging for the UK stem cell community. Our expanded repertoire of imaging modalities includes phase imaging microCT, serial block face SEM imaging and light sheet microscopy.
Southampton Imaging is a portal to high end microscopy and imaging facilities within the University of Southampton. The individual facilities are spread across the University’s sites and faculties and provide access, support and training for a wide variety of 2D and 3D imaging modalities and for analysis of the resulting data sets. Our services are available to University staff and students as well as to other academic institutions, industry and artists.
